Executive Assistant

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Executive Assistant to provide support to the Executive Director and be a member of the management team.  The candidate must be extremely organized and detail-oriented, have excellent communication skills, work effectively in a small team environment, and show dedication to exceptional customer service. Candidate must also be committed to the highest quality of work standards and be able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.

The primary responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Planning, scheduling, coordinating and attending Board of Director meetings, management team meetings and the annual retreat

  • Preparing minutes and agendas

  • Arranging travel accommodations for the Executive Director, Board, and Management Team

  • Maintaining official records and various calendars

  • Assisting with budget development and tracking expenses

  • Composing and updating various confidential documents; and performing other administrative functions

Job Qualifications:
A minimum of six years of progressive experience as an executive or administrative assistant and a High School diploma is required. An Associate Degree or Bachelor Degree is preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is mandatory.  Some travel required.

Underwriting Representative

CIRSA is seeking an Underwriting Representative at the experienced or senior level.

We are a public entity self-insurance pool serving Colorado municipal governments. Underwriting reps are a critical part of our customer service team. You will be expected to have a working knowledge of commercial property/liability and associated coverages, and to be able to explain those coverages to our clients in an accurate and understandable manner. You will assist with other client requests and inquiries, such as requests for certificates of insurance and requests to review insurance provisions in contracts. You may also be involved in reviewing, processing, and binding coverages; providing reports and other information to other CIRSA departments as well as brokers and insurers; invoicing premium credits and debits; entering data into several databases and computer programs; and providing application assistance to prospective and existing clients.

Critical skills include a commitment to providing superior customer service and maintaining excellent customer relations, knowledge of ISO property and liability coverages, and excellent written and verbal communications skills. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel is mandatory. Ability to multi-task is critical, as is accuracy and attention to detail. Some travel may be required, so you must possess a valid driver’s license.

Minimum qualifications are a high school diploma or equivalent, and at least two years of related insurance experience. Prior experience as an insurance account manager or insurance customer service rep is desirable. Salary will be commensurate with experience level.
