Helping Promote Excellence in Law Enforcement Practices and Procedures

Checking in with headquarters

Available Awards

The objective of the CIRSA Law Enforcement Endowment Fund is to provide financial support to CIRSA members—beyond the current law enforcement trainings, roundtables, and resources CIRSA’s Risk Control team already provides—to promote excellence in law enforcement practices and procedures, with the goal of reducing law enforcement risks.

To be considered for an award, the CIRSA member must submit a proposal outlining a project, process, improvement, or system which, upon establishment, will satisfy a law enforcement or risk management related goal.

Recipient’s Responsibilities

CIRSA reimburses the entity of each scholarship recipient for the expenses associated with the activity and/or resource. Recipients must submit receipts for each qualifying expense (registration fees, lodging, transportation, and meals) incurred and will be reimbursed a maximum of the award amount. If the total award amount is not needed, unused funds will be kept in the fund for future awards. Recipients will be responsible for funding the expenses not covered by the award.

Applications will be reviewed as they are submitted. All applications must be submitted by May 2, 2024.

Please submit your application along with any supporting documentation to Shannon Pursley at shannonp@cirsa.org.
