Christy has worked in and alongside Colorado local governments since 2004 when she had the opportunity to work for Poncha Springs as a Best and Brightest intern. She went on to work for the Department of Local Affairs for 16 years, her last 10 years as the South Central Regional Manager. Christy currently serves as the City Administrator for Salida, where she has lived since 2013. Christy and her husband, Ben, have one daughter, Emelie and two ridiculous dogs. Christy earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Dallas and holds a Masters’ degree in Political Science from CU Denver. She joined the Board in May 2025.
