Governor Polis signed House Bill 25-1300 into law on June 4, 2025, introducing substantial amendments to the Workers’ Compensation Act, including a fundamental change to the process for selecting authorized treating physicians. The legislation, effective January 1, 2028, will have important implications for employers, employees, and claims administration. CIRSA will participate in the stakeholder working group convened by the Governor to address implementation considerations and will continue to provide members with timely updates.
