Coronavirus/COVID-19 Resources for Law Enforcement
It’s never been a more challenging time to be in law enforcement. Our thanks to all of the men and women in blue, who continue to serve and protect our communities despite all of the risks and uncertainties.
There are a number of guidance/resource documents and pages for law enforcement, ranging from Colorado-specific, to national, and even international. Some are listed below.
Governor Polis has issued this guidance for law enforcement agencies and detention centers.
Accompanying guidance from the County Sheriffs of Colorado can be found here. The Governor’s guidance notes that, to the extent the Sheriffs’ guidance is more stringent, the latter should be followed.
CACP’s news page provides updates on COVID-19 issues.
The Colorado Municipal League is doing a great job of compiling municipal government-oriented resources on COVID-19.
Seattle has been dealing with the COVID-19 outbreak longer than many communities. Read Seattle Police Chief Carmen Best’s officer safety suggestions here.
