SUMMARY:Mass Shooting Event: Lessons Learned (Grand Junction)
DESCRIPTION:  \nGeared toward all first responders\, this seminar focuses on an active shooter/mass shooting event. This case study covers an event where twenty people were shot\, three killed (not including the suspect). Officers engaged the suspect in a firefight\, and none of the LE personnel were hit. The suspect breached all security measures and used an AK-47 vs. the Officers returning fire with handguns. This occurred at an open-air event (food and entertainment) that brings 100\,000 people to the event over a weekend each summer. \nThe case study covers the background of the event\, suspect profile/analysis\, the shooting event\, and the response by public safety. The FBI provided a significant level of assistance (evidence teams and behavioral analysis review of social media\, electronic footprint and characteristics) and how the relationship worked between local and federal agencies. The impacts of such an event to the agency\, resources required and things we didn’t consider in community healing. This provides a lot of what went right and areas to consider for improvement. It speaks to the training ahead of time and was the response congruent with that training. \nFor more information and to view additional dates/locations\, click the image above.

SUMMARY:Bulletproof Your Heart: Stronger Hearts\, Stronger Leaders (Black Hawk)
DESCRIPTION:In this data-driven session\, Dr. Benjamin Stone explores cardiovascular disease—the leading cause of line-of-duty and post-career death among law enforcement\, fire\, and EMS professionals. Drawing on over a decade of experience\, he reveals why traditional cardiac risk models often miss early disease in first responders and examines the occupational stressors—chronic sympathetic activation\, sleep disruption\, inflammation\, and metabolic dysfunction—that accelerate risk\, even in those aged 25–40. The presentation also delivers\nactionable solutions\, including early detection strategies\, precision lab testing\, and performance-based screening tailored to public safety professionals. By integrating metabolic science\, performance nutrition\, and evidence-based supplementation\, attendees gain practical tools to identify hidden risk and build stronger\, more resilient leaders. \nFor more information and to view additional dates/locations\, click the image above.

SUMMARY:Bulletproof Your Heart: Stronger Hearts\, Stronger Leaders (Loveland)

SUMMARY:Law Enforcement Regional Roundtable (Virtual)
DESCRIPTION:  \nLaw enforcement agencies across the country continue to face increased exposure from high-dollar claims and litigation\, a trend that has been further shaped in Colorado by recent legislative changes expanding officer and municipal liability. CIRSA’s regional Law Enforcement Roundtables are designed to help agencies better understand this evolving risk environment and identify practical strategies to reduce liability exposure. These interactive seminars are led by experienced Colorado defense attorneys who focus on law enforcement liability claims. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in candid discussion\, ask questions in a confidential setting\, and explore real-world approaches to navigating the complex and high-risk situations officers encounter every day. \nFor more information and to view additional dates/locations\, click the image above. \nON24 Registration Link

SUMMARY:Mass Shooting Event: Lessons Learned (Golden)
