New CIRSA Board Member – Shane Hale, Town of Windsor

By Stephen Dellerba, CIRSA Senior Marketing Representative

We’re excited to welcome Shane Hale, Town Manager for the Town of Windsor, to the CIRSA Board.  He was appointed to fill the position vacated by Gary Klaphake, who recently retired from the position of Lafayette City Administrator.

Shane is a Colorado native.  After high school he joined the Navy, and following his four years of enlistment attended CSU-Pueblo, where he majored in Mass Communications with a minor in Marketing and Philosophy.  His Philosophy courses really opened his eyes to the world of politics, which led him to pursue a Masters in Political Science degree through the University of Colorado-Denver.

Shane has been working in local government for more than 15 years, which includes time as an intern in Poncha Springs, Town Manager for the Town of Grand Lake, City Manager for the City of Cortez, and his current position as Town Manager for the Town of Windsor.

Shane is excited about the opportunity to serve on the CIRSA Board.  “I’m confident that my experience working in smaller jurisdictions and on the western slope will bring a unique perspective to the CIRSA Board.  I will work hard to ensure CIRSA remains a great organization and is constantly evolving with all our members’ needs.”

Shane has been Windsor’s Manager for a little over one year, but he and his family were immediately immersed into the community.  His two boys, Sawyer (10) and Nolan (7), keep him and his wife Darci busy with the myriad of recreation activities that Windsor offers.  When he is not at Town Hall or spending time with family, Shane enjoys fly fishing, golfing, running, mountain biking, racquetball, and camping.

As a reminder, contact information for all CIRSA Board Members is posted on our website.  Please feel free to reach out to them with questions, comments or concerns.
