Because our ADA Coordinator Training has been so popular the last two years, we’ve expanded it for 2019! The course provides a public sector-specific overview of the regulation changes, technical provisions, effective dates, and provisions for newly designed and constructed or altered facilities.
This two-day course will provide valuable insight on:
Planning and Coordinating Overall Compliance Efforts
Developing and Implementing a Grievance Procedure
Coordinating a Self-Evaluation
Guidance for Reasonable Accommodations, Effective Communication, Essential Job Functions, and Service Animals
Documentation of Disability
Non-Discriminatory Hiring Practices
Dates and Locations: This course will be offered five times across various locations in Colorado in 2019:
Las Animas Area – November 6 & 7 (additional details to follow)
This workshop is free for all CIRSA members, but space is limited. Register online or contact Channa Chavez by email or phone 800.228.7136 to get signed up today.
A presenter from Meeting the Challenge (MTC), Inc. will facilitate the training. MTC works to educate individuals and organizations about their rights and responsibilities under the ADA and other disability laws.
