The Colorado Intergovernmental Risk Sharing Agency (CIRSA), based in Denver, Colorado, has an opening for a Senior Property/Casualty Claims Representative. CIRSA is a self-insurance pool that specializes in providing property/liability and workers’ compensation coverages and services for municipalities and affiliated public entities across the state.

To this end, this is a hybrid remote position that allows work from home or the flexibility to work from our office located in Denver, Colorado. For remote work, the employee must reside in Colorado. The position requires some in-office presence as well as occasional travel to meetings with CIRSA’s insureds, attendance at court proceedings and meetings, and other meetings and events.
Under the direction of the Claims Manager, this multi-line position is responsible for investigating and resolving first and third-party property/casualty claims. The emphasis for this new position is to investigate, evaluate and resolve high exposure and complex general liability, errors & omissions, and law enforcement claims, although there will also be some exposure to first-party auto and property losses. This position also includes working with legal counsel on claims for which defense counsel is assigned, identification and pursuit of subrogation and recovery opportunities, and as a liaison with assigned member municipalities.
